The buildings and construction sector accounted for 36% of final energy use and 39% of energy and process-related carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions in 2018, 11% of which resulted from manufacturing building materials and products such as steel, cement and glass (www.iea.org). We are look for ways where new materials and AI can reduce the industry footprint.
Buildings Energy Retrofit
expediting and scaling the pace of buildings energy retrofit
80% of the buildings that will exist in 2050 are already built today. These buildings (whether single family, multifamily, commercial or institutional) are responsible for 30% of the global emissions. We are looking for ways to expedite and scale the adoption of existing retrofit technology using software and AI.
